"Let the beauty of what you love be what you do." ~Rumi
This phrase couldn't be more true for Jill Renton. She is a farmer outside of Moncton, New Brunswick, growing hearty Limousin cattle and developing a wildflower patch that was alive with bees and moths flitting and buzzing in the late afternoon sun. Jill was in her element while I was there: snipping this and dead-heading that. She spoke so candidly about evaluating what is important to her, and agriculture was at the top of that list. Jill has a vision that is true and kind to herself, and a voice that will share the importance of agriculture in the Maritimes. She talked about expanding her wildflowers five fold next year, and rhymed off some of the varieties she planned to grow. If you think this is impressive, JUST WAIT.
Farm on, sister!
