It was a serendipitous moment....a post from MIsty on a day when I had told myself I wouldn't go online but did for just a moment (I have no willpower). A few minutes, couple of Facebook messages later and BAM! I was going to Kate Inglis' shed. Then it hit me....I'm not sure I belong there. I mean, it's KatefriggingInglis! Of course I had creeped everyone else in the group...worldly, cerebral, writers and artists. How does a bean counter from Musquodoboit possibly have anything to add? Too late to back out though. The money was sent, she added me to the Facebook group, everyone welcomed me. I'd look foolish to back out. So, off I went. Butterflies flip flopping inside. GPS honing in.
Then I arrive. The most beautiful afternoon sun was washing over a little yellow house. People milling about the backyard beside a fire. The rest of the day is a blur. Hugs and handshakes, Tarot, cameras, the fire, food, wine, quilts and The Shed. THE SHED. THEEEE Shed. It was like walking on hallowed creative ground. It all felt like home.
