I looooove being the 4H Photography Project leader for our local club. I have done this for the last two years and get excited about how interested and willing my members are. We are all fairly comfortable shooting all things rural...1000 lb cows and horses up close and personal; no problem! But each year I push the members a little by taking them to the city (out of our comfort zone) for the day to shoot. It's unnerving to be in a crowd with a big camera where many immediately get uncomfortable and start to put up cheesy forced smiles and barriers. There were a hundred smart phones in the air taking photos and no one cared, but lift a two handed camera, and you're done for. However, I was soooo proud of the girls for putting on their big-girl-knickers and shooting away, working through the awkwardness for a photo.
Here are a few of my images from the day. I hope after our club's Achievement Day to put together a blog post of the girl's photos so I can show everyone how proud I am of these girls!! You guys rock!!
